Matilde Ciani graduated in 2020 in Biotechnology for environmental management and sustainable agriculture with a thesis entitled "Microalgae cultivation in urban wastewater: nutrients removal and biomass application". After graduation she won a research grant at the Department of Agricultural, Food, Environmental and Forestry Sciences and Technologies (DAGRI) for the study of microalgae and cyanobacteria as biostimulants. She is currently enrolled in the PhD course in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (DAGRI).
