Molecular mechanisms involved in exopolymers secretion in biocrust forming cyanobacteria and their response to desiccation stress

Study of the mechanisms and molecular machinery involved in exopolymers (exopolysaccharides and exoproteins) secretion in biocrust forming cyanobacteria as a response to desiccation stress.

Profile

Over 5-year experience in total laboratory management of microbiology and molecular biology, scientific projects and reports writing.

Domain and experience in procedures involving Biosafety and in the growth of fungi and bacteria, as well as in the extraction of DNA from these microorganisms.

Experience with the use of Bionumerics, PAST and R.

Human Resources management at the Unesp Junior Company in Rio Claro / SP / Brazil.

Experience as an environmental educator, development of monitoring projects with schools, as well as studying the different concepts of environmental education.

International experience at the Universidad de Málaga (Spain), trying to improve molecular techniques, to study the intestinal microbiota in fish.

Degree in Biology (Unesp / São Paulo - Brazil), Master in Aquaculture (Instituto de Pesca / São Paulo - Brazil), and PhD student in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (University of Florence).
