Giulia was born in Prato (Prato), Italy, in 1995. In 2019 and 2022 respectively, she received her BcS degree in Agricultural Sciences, with a thesis on “Comparison between ancient and modern varieties of wheat: differences in impact on the phenomena of intolerance and sensitivity to gluten” and her M.S. degree in Agricultural Sciences and Technologies at the University of Florence, with a thesis on “Management of technical gases in the headspace in the malaxing phase and their influence on the quality of the extracted olive oil”.
Successively, in 2023, she worked for one year as research fellow at the Department of Agricultural, Food, Environmental and Forestry Sciences and Technologies (DAGRI) of the University of Florence, with a project entitled "Viticulture and environment: 5G technology in support of sustainability” (ViTEC5G), for the application of innovative technologies in viticulture.
She also participated in the GCCA project for CARIFORUM (Caribbean Forum), during which she worked on agrometeorological models for monitoring whitefly, powdery mildew and downy mildew and simulations of the AquaCrop (FAO) model for irrigation management. She then held workshops at the Ministries of Agriculture of Barbados and Antigua and Barbuda.
She is currently attending the Ph.D. course in Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at DAGRI, University of Florence.
